WHAT WE BELIEVE
A Summary of those things which we hold to be true...
The Inspiration of the Scriptures – We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, and the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
The Eternal Godhead – We believe in the One True and Living God, the self-existent creator of all things, who has further revealed himself in Scripture as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ – We believe that in Jesus Christ “dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily” (Col 2:9). We believe that his atoning death on the cross is the complete and final sacrifice for our sins. We further testify to his resurrection, ascension, and abiding intercession at the right hand of the Majesty on High.
The Holy Spirit – We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
The Salvation of Man – We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation, and that through faith man is reborn, justified, and made joint heirs with Jesus Christ.
The Church and its Mission – We believe that the church is the literal body of Christ on earth and the habitation of God through the Holy Spirit. We believe that the church includes all those who are born again by faith in Jesus. We believe that the members of the church are enjoined to assemble themselves for worship, fellowship, counsel, and instruction in the Word of God, the work of the ministry, and the exercise of the spiritual gifts and offices ordained for the New Testament church.
The Ordinances of the Church – We believe that water baptism by immersion is a testimony of the believer’s death to sin and resurrection with Christ to newness of life. We believe that the Lord's Meal is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ, to be shared by all believers until the Lord returns.
